Evolution Trampoline club
is one club that trains at several different locations.
We are able to provide our club members with a wide coaching experience
by our coaches regularly visiting other locations
to exchange techniques and coach pupils.
Frome was the first site to be established back in 1984. The then named
Frome Bounce Club was started by Nicky Allen, over the years the name
changed to Frome Trampoline Club before finally changing to Evolution in
2004. Now run by Sarah Hunt (nee Allen) an ex National finalist and World
Age Group competitor, the club merged with Warminster Trampoline Club in
2004 to make what we now know as Evolution.
The Warminster site was started by Shona Saer, Shona was an ex
National level competitor who started Warminster Trampoline Club
in 2000, along with Sarah she worked to establish Evolution in
October 2004. Shona has now left the club and the Warminster side
is currently opperating out of Frome whilst we seek an alternative
venue in the town as due to no fault of the club we had to leave
Warminster Leisure Centre.
The Bath side of the club is now run from the University of Bath.
With their help we have set up a development squad, which is run
by Nicky Allen and Nic Zeal. It is hoped that this will become
one of the fastest growning areas of the club.
The Bristol site, which was started in September 2005 with Olly
Monro and JJ Shaw at the helm is now two years old and is producing
some very good performers. Olly is now a full time trampoline
coach and coach tutor and works all over the South West.
Evolution are now also working in conjuction with the impressive
Esprit Gymnastics
Club in Swindon to offer competitive trampolining at the gym.
Sarah works with the coaching team to help ensure that the gymnasts
get the best experience possible. Esprit
and Evolution share the philosphy of wanting each child to
become the best they can.
Finally the club has its final venue at Writhlington. The club
started training at Writhlington in 2007 and are delighted to
be working with such a foward thinking centre.
Although the sites all have a main contact for coaching we are very much one
club and operate as such with squad training days and coaching days as well
as social events! We aim to give the trampolinist the best experience
possible from what we consider to be a great sport!
